On January 18, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine, led by Assoc. Prof. Sumidtra Prathep, M.D., Vice Dean of Global Affairs and Corporate Communications, together with Asst. Prof. Aroontorn Pichatechaiyoot, M.D., Assistant Dean for Hospital and Songklanagarind Vejchavivat Hospital Director, welcomed Mr. Osama Kokandy, a chairman of Saudi-Thai Business Council, on the occasion of his official visit to Songklanagarind Vejchavivat Hospital.
The delegation also included Mr. Thanis Na Songkhla, former Ambassador to Manama, Bahrain; Mr. Mongkol Sinsomboon, former Consul-General to Kota Bharu, Malaysia; and representatives from the PSU Halal Institute.
During the visit, discussions focused on advancements and innovations in medical treatment, as well as potential opportunities for future Thai-Saudi business cooperation.
